Musee du Louvre & Kong

We get into the Louvre though the shopping mall called "Le Carrousel du Louvre". Louvre is huge, and the design was awesome, I love it a lot. If you can see, the elevator in the middle of the lobby, is a open space elevator, it was so cool, and we got a chance to ride it, because Maryam was sitting on a wheel chair, ha ha. We didn't have much time today, so we just stopped for the famous printings and sculptures. it was hard to get close to the Mona Lisa but unfortunately we couldn't take a picture of her, but I can feel her temperament from the printing, Da Vinci is a master of printing. La Victoire de Samothrace and La Venus de Milo are totally difference style, but both their painting are really good looking, I mean the curvy and detail was so good.

After that, We had a lunch date with Brooks's family to have in Kong. Kong is a restaurant which was designed by Jean-Jacques, and the arched glasses wall and the interior designed by Philippe Starck which mixed with the modern and Japanese culture. Also the big poster which was hanging on the ceiling was so cool, and Philippe added a woman head on the Louis Ghost Chair, and its wonderful too.

Today was our last day in Paris, I liked this city a lot, I get a lot of rich feelings from this country.

Versailles

It was a bad day~!

Yes, Because Darrin told us that we had to dress up, and I thought we got to take tour on the bus, so I wore my lovely boots. But, I couldn't walk for a long time, but we did a lot of walking today, I shouldn't have wore high heels, they were killing me. The place was really pretty and huge. but our guide wasn't a prefect guide and I just didn't like him at all(Sorry ><"). Honestly, I was in pain, and I have no idea why the meal did worth the price a bit, and I lost my eye-glasses and the case. I know this is a wonderful place, but I just can't feel that during the visit, I hope I will go back there for a better experience.

Musee d' Orsay, Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees

Today we went to Orsay on foot, first we walked through the Eiffel Tower, We did a quick sketch over there, and it was so fun. When we walked to the Orsay, there were so rain cats and dogs outside, and we all got wet, hopefully no one is getting cold. There were a lot of collection inside the Orsay, I pretty much liked all the sculpture and the printing over there.

After that it was a free time for us, we decided to go to Champs-Elysees. I loved Champs-Elysees. There are so many designer brands and cool buildings. Cricle road around of the Arc de Triomphe was so power and prestige.

I got a Chanel wallet for my sister and ear rings for myself, I love it a lot. ha ha

Eiffel Tower, Pompidou, Sainte-Chapelle and Notre-Dame

What a great way finding for me with Karissa and Maryam. We were reading the map for directions to go to Eiffel Tower, Pompidou, Notre-Dame and Sainte-Chapelle. The weather was so nice today, so we did some sketch on the Eiffel Tower. When we were doing the sketches, some travelers were taking us pictures and video, I hate paparazzi.

Then we took the tube to Pompidou, which is a modern art museum, there are some cool, cool designs of buildings, also the inside
displays of the buildings. I liked the part of the building which was covered with escalators on the out side. We then took a walk to the Dame and Sainte-Chapelle. The Sainte-Chapelle is small, so we just did a quick tour inside, the lighting show the ceiling really well. After that we waited in a long line to get into the Dame, which is so beautiful, but I think the exterior design was much more specify than interior space.

Cite des Sciences, Further market and Catacombes

Today is a free day, we went to Cite des Sciences to see the huge mirror ball, it was so cool. And then we took the subway to Further market, I didn't buy anything there, because I am still waiting to go shopping in Champs Elysees, ha ha. Also we went to the Catacombes, the inside was so cold and I get a creepy feeling when I saw all the human bones.

Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte

Oh My Goodness, the breakfast was so good, croissant and French cheese are my love. Fontainebleau is amazing which is the first references back to the 12th century. Since then, all the kings of France have lived in that palace. The Renaissance Rooms is very unique in France which was so resplendent, and also Napoleon I got abdicated in there. I am interested in the oriental art from China which was inside the castle remarkable by Napoleon III's wife. There are some really huge Gardens and grounds, and they are all so pretty and placid.

After than, We went to Vaux le Vicomte. First we walked though the huge gardens. I was so excited to start the evening candlelight tour. No kidding, it was a long walk inside the gardens and it took me forever to walk though it, . When we get into the house, all the candles were lighted, and it made me feel if I were in 17th century period, ha ha. The mood was so good anyway.

Today we are leaving England to go to France, everyone was so excited about it, and the train ride only takes about a 3 hours. When we got to Paris, We had to wait for our bus for almost four hours, and I was almost out of control, yes, I can't just wait and do nothing outside the train satiation, we just have one week in Paris, We have no time to wait~!!!!!><

Syon House & Conservatory and Wicked

A group of us woke up this morning to stand in line for get the discount tickets to the play Wicked. I haven't planned to go before, but we can get a good deal for the play, and I have heard a lot of good things about it so I decided to go. And we get tickets to the front row, and we were so excited about it.

Then We start our tour in Syon House. We got a guide today, and he was really boring, so I had to try hard to follow him, and he made me feel sleepy, anyway, I did some sketch through out the tour. So far I like the pattern on the ceiling and the wall in the lobby, also the baby blue color was so cute. Conservatory was my favorite.

Wicked is awesome, musical is my cup of tea, ha ha.

Chatsworth

We went to Chatsworth today, and it was gorgeous~! Chatsworth was a family home which is a fascinating mixture of old and new. The interior was wonderful, I tried to do some more sketches inside the house, so after that, I got lost from everybody, because the place was huge, especially the garden where has a lot of artworks and curiosities in the royal rooms, the works of art that span almost 4,000 years of history~! I like the Great Dining Room so much, so was the royal bed and spectacular in the state rooms, they are really nice work too.

Finally I ran into some people in the restaurant, and we ate together. After that, I went to the garden with Rachel. I love the waterfalls and the fountains a lot, it made me feel comfortable and relax. Also I was able to see the whole view of the house, it was wonderful, I have always wanted to live in a beautiful house like that.

We went back to the hotel to dress up for the dinner in Sketch. I am so silly that night, I forgot to bring my tube pass, I had to pay extra money to take the tube. Anyways, Sketch was awesome, and I loved it, if they were non-smoking restaurant(ha ha), the restroom was so egg like~! Yeah, it was really cool and modern. The food was OK, also the price was little bit high, but the design made it all worth it.

Blenheim Palace

We only visited one place today; it was the Blenheim Palace which is also a world heritage site. It located in Oxford, inside of the Blenheim Palace there is a secret garden really nice, we took some pictures there. Darrin said it's a nice place and ask all of us did sketches there. We also show everyone’s patterns and some people did a really good job. I have Chinese food with Kelsea.
